Coach Sims 101

Greetings! Welcome to my website. My name is Gary Dean Sims and I am proud
to be part of the South Panola School System! I moved back here after 13
years on the Gulf Coast. I taught World History and coached football at
Hancock County HS until Hurricane Katrina re-arrainged my furniture as well
as my neighborhood. I decided to come back home to North Mississippi to
start over. I am a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a BPA and
I messed around and got enough hours to get another degree in Sociology. I
am also a veteran. My tour of duty allowed me to travel the world, some
great places, some not so great. I have been to Central America, Korea,
Thailand, Okinawa, Australia, Africa, The Middle East, and Western Asia.

I enjoy living here in Panola County and look forward to
teaching and coaching for many years to come. I am currently teaching 7th
Social Studies, I coach the defense for the 7th and 8th grade football teams
and I am also on the varsity staff. If you ever need me? feel free to call
the school, or
have your child request my home phone. I am NOT putting it here on the
website!! Thank you for allowing me to educate your child. I am most
humbled and honered. I am blessed to be here!

I am a avid reader. I am also a Southern male, Therefore I fish. (Feel free
to invite me to fish your lakes and ponds) I live in
Batesville. I am a Christian and I am the sponser of the local Fellowship
of Christian Athletes Chapter. I am also "happily" single. I enjoy meeting
folks, so if
you see me out and
about? Dont be a stranger!

Mission For The Class

My mission is simple,.... to teach each and every child to the best of my
ability, and hopefully between my classtime and your efforts we can help
mold a solid citizen, and a young person that will be prepared to take
their role in our ever changing world. Life is hard enough. Lets make sure
they are prepared with a good education, and solid values. I will always
appreciate and encourage your input and
advice on how we can both help each other to achieve this.
