About The Teacher

   Hi! My name is Amanda Martin. I live in Pope. This is my 3rd year at the 
Junior High. I attend Sardis Lake Baptist Church. I have taught 
church classes ranging from preschool to 8th grade. I love my 6th Graders (I 
mean I would like them a whole lot more without the attitudes, but every age 
group has its downfalls) I am involved in planning for vacation bible school 
and youth activities. When I was younger I worked at a daycare. I love 
working with children wherever it might be.

Mission For The Class

My goal for my students is to show them the real world connections to math. 
I want them to see that math is useful and meaningful in their everyday 
lives. I also want my students to see that math is not impossible. Some 
students are totally overwhelmed by math and I want to change that. I want 
them to learn to enjoy it!
