The 7th and 8th graders will continue to work with Polynomials. These
concepts can get confusing. All students need to increase their study
habits. The 6th graders have started working with area and perimeter. It is
crucial that they continue to study and attend school daily. I understand
that there are days when we just don't want to come but we must. Please
encourage your child(ren) to not only attend school but come prepared. They
need notebooks/paper, pencils, glasses(if they have been prescribed them),
appropriate clothing (some rooms are colder than others),and a good night's
rest.
It is extremely importatnt that all students master not only Math but all of
their subjects. Their futures are based upon the work that they exhibit now.
I expect each of them to review their notes, math facts, and formulas daily.
If necessary, I will assign re-writing of daily notes. Students, especially
the 6th graders, should practice/memorize their multiplication facts (times
tables)daily. It is very important that they know them. It will assist with
their success in Math and in life after school.
