I have been teaching for 11 years. I received my Bachelor's degree and my
doctorate from University of Mississippi. I have taught 7th/8th grade
science, Biology I, Biology II, pre-algebra, geometry, and Spanish. This is
my ninth year here at Batesville Junior High School. This year, I teach
English as a Second Language in South Panola School District and coordinate
the Teacher Support Team at Batesville Jr. High School.
I live in Batesville with my husband Kerry, our daughter Abbigail, and our
dogs, Wicket and Bela. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and
all types of arts and crafts! I also love to read...especially forensic
novels!
I believe that everyone can learn. However, we do not all learn at the same
pace nor do we all learn in the same way. The important thing to remember,
is there is one thing we can all do...OUR BEST! My goal is to help my
students achieve the best possible!
As the TST coordinator, I hope to be of assistance to the teachers and
administration...with completing paperwork, developing interventions, and
providing resources. Most of all, I hope to be able to encourage and guide
students that are referred to the TST.
