Schedule:
30 hours in the classroom
12 hours in the simulator
3 hours driving
*Once the classroom and simulator hours are completed, students will be
assigned to a study hall for the remainder of the semester, except when they
are driving.
Textbooks are not issued; however, the student has the option to check one
out to study for a test.
Students will need to keep a notebook that will contain:
-notes
-handouts
-worksheets
-anything else the instructor might assign
Grading Policy:
The first nine weeks grade will come from the following areas:
-Daily Grades
-Test Grades
-Simulator Grades
-Nine Weeks Test, which will count for 25% of the nine weeks grade
The second nine weeks grade will consist of one area – the grade from the 3
hours of driving time.
**IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR PERMIT, YOU CANNOT DRIVE. IF YOU CANNOT DRIVE,
YOU CANNOT PASS DRIVER EDUCATION.
Students will be required to take a semester exam.
The Driver Ed. Grade will be calculated as follows:
1st nine weeks grade + 2nd nine weeks grade / 2 = Nine weeks average
Nine weeks average X 3 + Semester exam grade / 4 = Semester average
*Each student will need to show the instructor his or her permit before
being allowed to drive.
*Each student will need to pay a $10.00 Driver Education fee.

Coach Robinson will begin Simulation on Monday (August, 25-September 5)
Coach Lofton will begin Simulation on Monday (August, 11-22)
The Highway Patrol is not giving the driver's Education permit test this
year at the school. Each student is on there own to get this taken care
of. Remember each student must have his/her learner's permit and driver's
ed fee ($10.00) paid before he/she can drive. Hope you all are haveing a
great day and year.

October 1st Coach Lofton and Coach Robinson will begin driveing.
**Beginning Wednesday, students will begin reporting to a study hall for
their class period. We will begin driving, and this will continue for the
rest of the semester.
Students who have not received their driver's permit must get one before
they are allowed to drive.

Trace, Arrow Drive)
Tuesday-Group 1: Rural, urban driving around Clinton (Hwy 80, Clinton
Raymond
Rd., Clinton Pkwy)
Wednesday-Group 1: Highway driving (Highway 49 to Flora)
Thursday-Group 1: Highway driving (Highway 18 to Raymond)
Friday-Group 1: Interstate driving (I-20 West to Bolton)
Monday-Group 1: Continue Interstate driving
Tuesday- Exams: For remainder of week students will come to class and
study
for exams and they will take their Driver's Ed exam on Tuesday.
Wednesday-Friday: Students will use this time to study for exams in other
classes. Next week we will start with Group 2 and continue through the
year.
