National Dates for the PSAT

            Wednesday, October 15, 2008
            Saturday October 18, 2006

The PSAT will be administered to all 10th graders and to registered 11th graders on
Wednesday, October 15 at
Clinton High School.  CHS does not offer the Saturday
administration of the PSAT.

All 10th graders at CHS take the PSAT (for practice) at the expense of the school district.

Juniors wishing to enter the National Merit Scholarship competition may register in the
guidance for the PSAT.  Cost for Juniors - $13.00.

PSAT information will be made available to students through web announcements, daily
announcements, individual counselor visits, and classroom counselor visits.

 

Juniors may register to take the PSAT in the guidance office.  PSAT registration will begin in early October.  See Mrs. Stockman or Mrs. Robinson in the guidance office to register for the PSAT.

ALL students must earn a passing score on
            U.S. History from 1877
            English II Multiple Choice and English II Writing
            Biology
            Algebra I
Students who enroll in the Clinton Public School District at any grade level will be
governed by these test regulations.
ALL students in grades K – 12 for the 2008 – 2009 school year will be required to pass
all four subject area tests in order to earn a diploma.  The test is taken during the school
year the student is enrolled in the subject.  Students take these tests on dates established
by the Mississippi Department of Education.  Students who do not pass the test the first
time they take it will be given additional opportunities to take the test as stipulated by the
Mississippi Department of Education.
