This is my seventh year to teach Allied Health at the Clinton Career Complex.
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of
Mississippi Medical Center in 1996. I have worked as a staff nurse on the
surgical - oncology unit at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center and as a
staff nurse and nurse manager at the G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center
in Jackson, Mississippi. While working at the VA hospital, I attended Emory
University in Atlanta, Georgia and received a tri-specialty certification in
Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Care. I am also a Certified Basic Life
Support CPR / AED instructor and Heart saver First Aid instructor with the
American Heart Association. I completed my Vocational Education Coursework
for Teacher Licensure at Mississippi State University.
My husband, Joe, and I live in Clinton with our 2 sons, Bryce and Blake, and
our chocolate lab, Buddy.
I look forward to working with and getting to know my students and parents
this year. This will be a great year in Allied Health.
Our goal at the Clinton High School Career Complex is to instruct and
motivate students as they begin to consider career choices.
Mrs. Muffuletto and I want to prepare our students interested in health care
by teaching them basic medical skills, career exploration and the
professional attitude needed to excel in the medical work place.
Students are expected to be mature and dedicated to learning about health
care.
