Students are reminded that they are to come to class prepared each day.  This means
always having notebook, pen, pencil, homework, etc.  Students are reminded that a
poptest can be given at any time.  Keep up with reading assignments. M & M refers to
the Myths and their Meaning textbook and EH refers to the textbook by Edith Hamilton.

SEPTEMBER 22 - Bellringer Activity.
               Students will gain understanding of myths concerning the Royal
               House of Thebes.
               Discussion/Lecture of Chapter 3.
               Topics:  Antigone, Creon, the Epigoni
               Complete worksheets, etc.
TUESDAY,
SEPTEMBER 23 - Bellringer Activity.
               Students will gain understanding of myths pertaining to
               Jupiter and Athena.
               Discussion/Lecture of Chapter 3, Myths and Meaning textbook.
               Complete worksheets, handouts, etc.
               Topics:  Callisto, Arcas, Baucis and Philemon, Arachne
WEDNESDAY,
SEPTEMBER 24 - Bellringer Activity.
               Students will gain further understanding of the Royal House
               of Thebes through completion of review exercises.
               Complete review exercises.
THURSDAY,
SEPTEMBER 25 - Bellringer Activity.
               Students will gain further understanding of the Royal House
               of Thebes through completion of review exercises.
               Complete review exercises.
               HOMEWORK:  Study for TEST on CHAPTERS 1 & 2 of the Myths and
                          Meanings textbook.

SEPTEMBER 26 - Bellringer Activity.
               Students will achieve competence on a major test.
               TEST on CHAPTERS 1 & 2 from the Myths and Meanings textbook.

               Students will achieve competence on review exercises for
               Chapter 3.
               Complete review exercises.
               HOMEWORK:  Study for Test on Chapter 3.
TUESDAY,
SEPTEMBER 30 - Bellringer Activity.
               Students will achieve competence on a major test.
               TEST on CHAPTER 3.
WEDNESDAY,
OCTOBER 1 -  Bellringer Activity.
             Students will gain understanding of myths concerning Aphrodite.
             Discussion/Lecture of Chapter 4, M & M.
             Complete handouts, etc.
             Topics:  Aphrodite, Adonis, myths of love
             HOMEWORK:  Prepare a twenty (20)question matching poptest from
                        the information in Chapter 4.
THURSDAY,
OCTOBER 2 - Bellringer Activity.
            Students will gain understanding of myths concerning Aphrodite.
            Students will gain understanding of myths concerning Apollo.
            Discussion/Lecture of Chapter 4, M & M.
            Complete handouts, etc.
            Topics:  Myths about love
            Begin discussion of Chapter 5, M & M about Apollo.
            Complete handouts, etc.
            HOMEWORK:  Study for TEST on CHAPTER 4.
