| Week one 8-11-08 to 8-15-08 | Unit 0ne Introduction and Orientation. Objective/Method- to be able to understand class rules and career complex rules. To understand how the students will work as a group on certain projects. Method- The students will discuss the rules of the shop with the instructor and continue to go over the handbook. Wp-1-3 TABE TES | First year students will continue in unit one working on career search in the automotive field. Objective- The students will be able to look at different automotve jobs. Method- the students will go to the computer lab and seach the different jobs. Resouces- The internet. Homework- look up a sd to bring to class to discuss.The second year students will continue to be in unit 5 safety.Objective- the students will better understand the safety pactices used in the shop area and classroom. The students will discuss chapter 5 with the instructor and will do a handout of the chapter. Resources- Modern Automotive textbook and handout from the instructor. | Week two 8-18-08- to 8-22-08 | Unit- Five - Safety in the aute shop/ Introduction and Orientation. Objective - Second year students- To understand and review all safety rule in the shop/ The first year students to understand the careers in the automotive field. Method - The second year students will be given a handout and the instructor will discuss the safety rules with the students/ The first year students will continue to discuss the careers with the instructor and do unit review at the end of chapter two. Resources - The Modern Automotive Technology and newspaper. Homework - none. | The students will continue to work on Safety and Career units. Objective - to have all students in the second year to be able to pass the safety test with a 100% and the first year students to better understand the automotive careers and the auto as a whole. | Week Three 8-25-08 to 8-30-08 | Unit Two - Basic Electrical systems Objective - To understand the principles of the electrical systems in the a/c systems.Method : The students will do term to know and discuss with the instructor . Resouces : Auto Technology unit 1. The first year students will contiue to be in unit one understanding the automobile. Objective : The students should be able to identify the componets on an automobile. Method : The students will take a test on the automotive to identify the major systems on the unit. Resoures : THe Modern Automotive Technology. | The second year students will continue to work on the electrical system and the first year students will contiue to work on safety and careers. Objective : To better understand the electrical system and the automotive industry. Mothod : The second year students will be in the lab working on the a/c systems.
