Start defining several key terms from chapter 28.
outline Triple Entente and Triple Alliance, discuss MAIN causes of WWI and 
complete chart about them.  Discuss the begining events of WWI, read diary 
entries about event.  Fill in worksheet about events. 
List countries in the 2 alliances of WWI.  Look at map and color 
accordingly.

the war.  Create a bubble chart outlining these.  Read on pg. 753 about the 
Luisitania and answer questions.

Discussion and notes on events in Russia that changed the war.  Complete 
paragraph fill in about the information.  Complete 'results of the war' 
worksheet together.  
Turn in political cartoon and present them for extra credit.  Discussion and 
notes on the Peace Treaty and ending of the war.  Answer several questions 
from book - pg. 766-767.

TUESDAY – FEB. 3:
Review cultural changes. Also, begin filling out the 1920-1930s sheet. 

WEDNESDAY – FEB. 4:
DO NOW – on a sheet of paper, describe 2 changes in the culture/society after 
WWI.  Class will continue 1920s-1930s worksheet about U.S., England, and 
France.    

THURSDAY – FEB. 5
Finish the 1920-1930s worksheet.   Completed in pairs and discuss 
the ‘totalitarian way of life’ worksheet.  

FRIDAY – FEB. 6:
Class will complete 3 bubble charts starting on pg. 781 on Italy, Germany, 
and Russia.  Be sure to include the following in your bubble charts:  
leaders, events, life/results, reasons why, and opponents.  We will have 
questions about these on Monday.  YOURS NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED BY TUESDAY, SO 
YOU CAN TAKE THE MAKE UP QUIZ BY WEDNESDAY, FEB.  11.  

MONDAY – FEB. 9:
Class will complete questions using the bubble chart completed last Friday.  
YOU MUST MAKE THIS UP BY FRIDAY, FEB.  13.

TUESDAY – FEB. 10:
Complete packet about middle eastern countries and the main events in those 
countries during the 1920s and 1930s. 

WEDNESDAY – FEB. 11:
Write paragraph about which leader in Europe - Stalin, Mussolini, or Hitler 
had the best plan of action for their country.  

THURSDAY – FEB. 12:
Create a cross word puzzle from this unit – chapter 29 and 30 (minus Latin 
America, China, and Japan).  Can only use your notes for form crossword 
puzzle.  DO NOT WRITE IN ANWERS – SOMEONE ELSE WILL COMPLETE YOUR PUZZLE.  
Write 10 ‘down’ clues and 10 ‘across’ clues on the back 

FRIDAY – FEB. 13:
Class will complete clip art that describes events in China and Japan during 
the 1920s and 1930s. 

MONDAY – FEB.  16:
Class will complete the top 2 paragraphs on the attached sheet.  The bottom 
of the sheet is a review for the TEST on  TUESDAY.  

TUESDAY - FEB. 17:
TEST ON CHAPTERS 29 AND 30.

WEDNESDAY - FEB. 18:
what do we know about wwii, what do we want to know, etc.  discussion.
begin road to war notes on chapter 31 - wwii.
and complete Germany's involvement in the war

THURSDAY - FEB.  19:
Complete Germany strategies in the war worksheet
start questions/notes from section 3, chapter 31

FRIDAY - FEB. 20:
FINISH AND DISCUSS questions outlining section 3 in chapter 31.

MONDAY - FEB.  23:
Class will start outlining important aspects of the 
main battles in WWII - who, what, where, when, why?


TUESDAY - FEB.  24:  
finish battles chart
Class will divide into groups to draw and illustrate the battles from wwii.
