I have 18 years of experience teaching multiple levels of English, grades 9-
12 and 2 years of post-secondary classes for Belhaven College.
I am married with one child, seven fish, two dogs and one turtle, one loach,
and two red-bellied dart frogs!
I have three goals for my classes this year. First, I want each student to
help students raise their ACT scores needed for college. Second, enrich
student's learning experience through exposure to our rich American
literature heritage. Third, and I know this will be a stretch for some, but
I would hope my students will gain an understanding of how important reading
is to the learning exerience and maybe learn to actually like reading.
