Procedure: Students will conjugate the verb dormir and then the
teacher will quiz them on it. The students will all
choose an ailment and write it down on a paper. The
teacher will collect the papers and then give them out
to other students who will get up and act out the ailment
the students must guess (in Spanish) what is wrong.

who will guess what the sickness is. Then they will switch

Tuesday, January 6: 3 Kings Day!
Objective: For students to learn the history and the celebrations
which go on during the celebration of 3 Kings Day.
Do Now: Translate the following sentences into Spanish:
1) What is your name? 4) I'm from Clinton
2) I am 16 years old. 5) See you later.
3) Good afternoon
Procedure: The teacher will explain the history behind the tradition
of "Three Kings Day" and the students will complete an
activity having to do with the holiday
Homework: To complete a translation activity
Wednesday, January 7
Objective: To learn the conjugation of the verb, tener, to have and
to review the verb ser, to be
Do Now: Answer the following the questions:
1) La madre de mi padre es mi ______________.
2) El hijo de mi tio es mi _________________.
3) La hermana de mi madre es mi ____________.
4) Los hijos de mis padres son mis ___________.
5) Mi padre es el ___________ de mi tio.
Procedure: Teacher will review the conjugation of the verb ser
and introduce the conjugation of verb tener. The students
will read pg. 166. and answer question A-C
Homework: Write two sentences for each pronoun (10 in all)
Thursday, January 8
Objective: To review the adjective words
Do Now: Matching:

Procedure: Students will look at pg. 169 and do the first three
exercises aloud and do the remaining four for classwork
Homework: Take the following words and draw illustration to
accompany them

Objective: For the students to learn what they have learned with

Procedure: Students will take a short quiz and then turn in homework
and do nows for this week. They will watch a video in
Spanish
Homework: No homework for the weekend
