The following items are a list of projects, presentations, or assignments considered acceptable documentation for meeting the listed MOD objectives. Where multiple items are listed, it is acceptable to choose ONE. 10CE14; 11E12; 12E5

March 23 - 27 Each student will be issued a prescription sheet with requirements for meeting portfolio objectives. March 9-13 Students will continue working in the school based enterprise. English assignments for this week will be satisfied through the Career Prep assignments (see Career Prep). March 2- 6 Students have returned to school based enterprise and should complete assignments when not in the employment of Mr. Clay. The assignments for the previous week were not completed and should be continued until further notice.. February 23-27 Students have returned to school based enterprise and should complete assignments when not in the employment of Mr. Clay. The assignments for the previous week were not completed and should be continued until further notice/ or my return. February 16- 20 10E4; 10E18; 11E2; 11E6 (A)- Determine need for more information; Listening skills; Simple directions in variety of situations; Employment vocabulary 12E4(C)- Writing for business purposes Monday 16 10/11th: Students will begin reading on pg. 127 Chapter 8 in the Employment English text. The students should complete Act. A when finished reading and then begin reading Lesson 2. 12th: Students should begin reading Chapter 4 of Employment English text pgs. 63- 67. Students will complete activity A- C. Tuesday 17 10/11th: Students will complete Activity A-C. They make work in small groups to complete this. 12th: Students will read and complete Lesson 2, activities A and B Wednesday 18 10/11th: Students will read Lesson 3 pg. 132 and complete activities A-D. 12th: Students will Read and complete Lesson 3 and Lesson 4. Thursday 19 10/11th: Students are allowed to complete Lesson 3 activities but only if they turned them in Wednesday. Students should begin reading Lesson 4 and work with a partner to complete Activity A. 12th: Students will Read and complete Lesson 5 and begin on Chapter Review. Friday 20 10/11th: Students will complete Chapter 8 Review on pgs. 140-141. 12th: Students will complete Chapter 4 Review. February 2-6 The plans from the previous week should be followed as students were unable to complete a majority of the assignments. January 26-30 10E12; 11E7; 12E4 Objective: To write for the purpose of business, using proper format and varying technology January 26 -Monday Students will complete Chapter Review of Chapter 10. January 27 - Tuesday Students will complete Mastery Test A using the textbook January 28-Wednesday Students will begin reading Lesson 2 of Chapter 11 and complete Act. A &B January 29 - Thursday Students will begin class with Workbook Act on Taking Messages. (#43) January 30- Friday Students read Lesson 3 on taking notes at a meeting. Act A & B will be completed. January 20-23 10E12; 11E7; 12E4 Objective: To write for the purpose of business, using proper format and the computer as technology January 20 - Tuesday Students will complete Chapter 10 Lesson 5 Activity A on page 170 of Employment English textbook. Homework: Workbook Activity 34 January 21 - Wednesday Students will Read page 171 of Lesson 6 in Chapter 10 and complete Activity A on 172. January 22 - Thursday Students will being working on Chapter 10 Review on Page 174 - 175. January 23 - Friday Students will complete Chapter 10 Review on Page 174-175 January 12-16 Students will be following Career Prep curriculum during English in order to meet requirements for School Based Enterprise. January 6 - 9 10E13 Objective: Communication by telephone and/or other communication devices. Notes on Phone manners Demonstration on how to use phone for business purposes Notes on Email manners Demonstration on how to use email for business purposes Assessment: Students will be recorded using phone for business purposes and create and use an email account. |
