Congratulations to all 2008 Volleyball Teams! It was a successful season!
A special congrats to the Varsity Team. They were District and Area Champs,
and broke the school win record of 15. They ended 18-10 overall and beat
Oxford 3 times this year. Great job girls!
Congratulations, also, to the JV team on a winning season, ending 7-6 with 2
wins over Oxford!

UPDATE 2/13/09
Most of you know, but Coach Baker will not be returning next season. She and
her family are moving to Texas to be closer to her family. She will greatly
missed, but we thank her for her contribution to the Lafayette volleyball
program.
A note from Coach Baker:
It was a very tough decision to leave Lafayette, but after a lot of prayer
and thinking, we knew it was the right decision for our family. Having kids
changes things! I am going to miss the girls most of all. Player and
parents: thank you SO much for such a great experience. I couldn't have had
a better first 2 years of coaching anywhere else!!
I am working on the schedule for next year. The high school teams actually
have a REAL division in 2009 with Senatobia, Center Hill, Lewisburg and
Byhalia. I'll also schedule some tough teams and tournaments as well :)
The start date for practice has been moved by the MISSHSAA to Monday, August
3rd and the first day for games is August 16. (Aug 16 will probably be a
tournament).
