About The Coaches

Head Coach Erin Baker is entering her 2nd season as Head Volleyball Coach at
Lafayette. Last year, the Varsity team were District Champs and made it to
the State Final 4 under Baker. Baker played 4 years of volleyball at Ole
Miss and 1 year of basketball at Ole Miss as well from 1999-2003.

Erin is married to Trevor Baker, who teaches and coaches at Lafayette High.
They have a baby daughter, Hannah, and 2 dog and 2 cats.

Asst. Coach Kathy Worley has been with the Lafayette Volleyball program for
many years. She's growing in her knowledge of the game and is a great coach.
She provides the teams with an extra spark and also drives the bus for
us...a very important role!

Asst. Coach Zuzana (Susan) Legatova is entering her first year as an asst.
coach.
She will mainly be working with the middle school team and developing them
so they will be fundamentally sound. She also keeps stats and is an
assistant for the high school teams. Legatova is currently on the track team
at Ole Miss and throws the javelin.

Goals of the Program

I want to build the program from middle school and up. These next few years
we may not have an official middle school program, but we will at least try
to get them some games and inner squad scrimmages. Hopefully more schools in
the area will start their own middle school teams and volleyball in this
area will be more popular.

I want to make Lafayette volleyball something the school is known for. I
want the girls to know and come to love the game as I have. I want the girls
to not only come away being better volleyball players, but I want their
volleyball experience to be something they look back on and remember as
something positive. I'd also want to get college recognition for the girls
that want to play in college and sign some scholarships!
