Presidential Economic$:
Integrating Economics, Language Arts & U.S. History
(February 27, 2016)- Saturday 0.6 CEU

FedStLlogo.gifInvestigate historical biographies for "Real-World" Learning. This workshop highlights Franklin D. Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson and three U.S. Presidents featured on today's currency: Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln.  Using primary and secondary sources, lesson demonstrations will explore and examine ways to integrate history and econmics while strengthening English Language Arts skills - aligned with the Common Core State Standards.  These historical biographies are sure to bring inquiry and "real-world" learning into your classroom.  A complimentary lunch will be provided as well as free ready to go lesson plans and resource- and the promise of a professional development day that can make a difference.  A certificate of attendance will be given.
