Joellen Killion, Senior Advisor of the national Learning Forward organization, will facilitate the two-day<br /> retreat. The topic will be Implementing Practices and Principles of a Learning School . In this workshop, participants will enhance their implementation skills on how to: 1) use data to improve student success, 2) put collaborative professional learning teams into practice, 3) develop a school culture that enhances educator and student learning, and 4) provide appropriate professional learning to support implementation of the Common Core Standards. Research has shown that<br /> these sustainable practices improve teacher performance and student learning.</p> <p>The retreat will begin at 8:00 a.m. on the Monday, November 7 and conclude at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, allowing time for participants to get home and vote in the general election.
