The Ballard Bugle 2-6-12
Reading- We are reading “Amazing Alice”. This test will be on Thursday NOT
Wednesday. We will start reading “Because of Winn Dixie” next Tuesday. We will do
some other reading activities between then.
Math- We are still working on subtraction with Fractions. Test on Friday.
Language-We are starting a unit on Adverbs.
Spelling- List 20. These are ocean words.
Science-Unit A Ch 2. This is on animals needs and habitats.
Social Studies-Ch 5 Test on Tuesday. The states and capitals map will be on the test
again. Please make sure you know the location and the postal abbreviation.
Our Valentine Party will be next Tuesday at 2:15. Please make sure that you send
Valentines for each student in the class. We will make sacks to put our Valentines in
that day.
The Cereal box book reports are due on Feb 29. The students are reading either
Newberry or Caldecott books. I am sending home the format and instruction page
today.
Progress Reports go home on Wednesday. I am trying my hardest to get
everything graded between today and tomorrow. If I don’t get the test on before
progress report time, please just check thinkwave.
