Oak Hill Academy 1st Grade Mrs. Parker April 21-25
Things to know:
1. Please make sure that your child has a large pink eraser and also a pack of pencil
topper erasers.
2. We will not have a pre-spelling test on Wednesday. The spelling test will be a different
format. A word will be spelled four different ways and the student will have to circle the
correct one.
Topics covered this week:
Reading- We will read two stories and test on the second story on Friday.
Spelling- We will have a test on Friday. There will be no pretest on Wednesday.
Phonics- The test from last week will be this coming Monday. We will be adding er, en and drop
the y and add the ending.
Math- We will have a test Monday. This week, we will learn about time, even numbers, filling in
the signs, am and pm, and subtraction with two digit numbers.
Grammar and Writing- We will continue to work on pronouns and correctly writing sentences.
Science- We will begin a new chapter about weather, the sky, and seasons.
