How many books can students check out at one time?
Two, usually one AR book and one other of your choice
What if my books are overdue?
No other books may be checked out until the overdue books are
returned
What if I lose a book?
Lost books must be paid for before any other books may be checked
out. You
may pay for a lost book in the Media Center at any time, just see
Mrs.
Humphrey
What if I find the book after I've already paid the fine?
You will be given a refund of the amount you paid.
What if I let my friend borrow my book and they don't return it?
Any book that is checked out to you is your responsibility. If
your friend
loses the book while it is still checked out to you, you have to
pay the
fine. The best rule of thumb is never to loan a book when it is
still
checked out in your name. Always turn it in and tell your friend
to get it
from the library.
What if a book gets damaged while it is checked out to me, but I didn't do it?
If any damage occurs to a book while it is checked out to you,
not matter if
the damage was caused by a friend, your sibling, or another
relative, you
have to pay the fine for the damage. While a book is checked out
to you, it
is your responsibility, no one else's.
How do I locate AR books in our library?
All of our AR books are marked with a dark blue circular sticker
on the spine
just above or just below the spine label.
How can I tell what AR level the book is and how many points it is worth?
Turn to the inside back cover and look for a white label with
this
information.
Can students check out magzines?
Students may check out one magazine in addition to their limit of
two books,
however any student who owes any fines for lost or damaged books
may not
check out magazines until those fines have been paid.
