Before becomming a school nurse in 1999, I worked in a variety of roles, from
medical surgical nursing, emergency room nursing, psychiatry, ambulatory
surgery and endoscopy. I obtained National School Nurse Certification in
2002. Being a school nurse is a privilege and I enjoy working with children,
parents and staff. Feel free to call or visit me if you have any questions or

Goals of the School Health Services Program
"School Nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that
advances the well being, academic success, and life-long achievement of
students. To that end, school nurses facilitate positive student responses
to normal development; promote health and safety; intervene with actual and
potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively
collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation,
self-management, self-advocacy, and learning."
