I moved to Davie County 15 years ago with my husband, Alex and our children Michael and Erika. I first worked as the Inclusion Supervisor at The Special Children’s School but found I missed being in the classroom. I then taught EC Preschool and Kindergarten in Winston-Salem. I had the honor of being named Teacher of the Year for South Fork Elementary School and Outstanding Math Teacher.
Six years ago, I decided that since I lived in Davie County, I wanted to teach in Davie County and came to Cornatzer. I taught Pre-K for 2 years and Kindergarten for 2 year and First Grade for three years. Again, I was very honored to be named Teacher of the Year for the 2005/2006 school year. I went on to become Davie County’s Teacher of the Year and also became a Northwest Region finalist. I am presently Cornatzer's Teacher of the Year for 2010-2011.
I have been teaching for over 21 years. I have a BA in Psychology and a MA in School Psychology. I am certified to teach Birth-Kindergarten, Elementary Education, Special Education and qualify to be a School Guidance Counselor.
