For the fall semester, almost 50 students earned 250 semester hours of college credit for dual enrollment courses through DCCC. For the spring semester, 35 students earned another 250 hours of college credit.
To give parents and students an idea of how taking Dual Enrollment and Learn & Earn courses through DCCC can help w/ college expenses, we have a current sophomore (who took her first L&E course this spring) who has the possibility of acquiring 43 semester hours of college credit by the time she graduates. She might be able to graduate from college three semesters early, which would save her parents and her around $20-25,000 for a public four year college and around $45,000 at a four year private college. Interested students can still see Mr. Hobson about the possiblity of taking a DE or L&E course as early as this summer. RAH 5-6-08
