1st Quarter: By the end of the first quarter, 90% of students will:
- Reading: blend one syllable CVC words.
- Writing: Use more than one thought or phrase in their writing.
- Math: Compose and decompose numbers 1 through 10.
2nd Quarter: By the end of the second quarter, 90% of students will:
- Reading: Segment CVC words into individual sounds and say each word.
- Writing: Write words to describe and name characters and setting.
- Math: Compare and order sets of numbers through 60.
3rd Quarter: By the end of the third quarter, 90% of students will:
- Reading: Change beginning and ending sounds of words to make new words (deleting, adding, and substituting sounds).
- Writing: Write at least three sentences that relate to the topic.
- Math: Connect, model, number words, and numbers using a variety of representations.
4th Quarter: By the end of the fourth quarter, 90% of students will:
- Reading: Use letter sounds to decode one-syllable words with r-controlled vowels (ar, er, ir, or, ur).
- Writing: Use some details when writing (including three adjectives).
- Math: Create, model, and solve problems that use addition, subtraction, and fair shares (between two or three).
