Dear parents and students,
Welcome to another year at Flora MacDonald Academy. I am very happy to be the
new English teacher and I am looking forward to an exciting year. Thank you
to all of the parents and students that were able to visit me during open
house; for those of you who were unable to attend the event I look forward to
meeting you soon! Please remember, if at any time you have any questions or
concerns about your child’s progress please feel free to contact me.
I have many exciting activities planned for this year including: SAT prep,
writing, reading, and many exciting projects. As of now there is not a book
list planned, I feel it is important to include students in the decision
making process. Although there will be some readings that are mandatory many
of the assignments will be selected by the students.
Please look for paperwork that will be sent home with the students during the
first week of school. This paperwork will include some important information
for the parents as well as the students.
