Hello, my name is Penny Willard and I am the Media Coordinator for
Francisco Elementary School. I am married to Bobby Willard and we have two
beautiful daughters, Samantha, 12 and Isabella, 4. I graduated from
Lees McRae College in 2004 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. I
recently graduated from East Carolina University to obtain my
Masters Degree in Library Science.
I love my position in the library because it allows me to work with
students of all ages. Being in the library also allows me to enjoy and
share my other passion, books. A good book is one of the best gifts you can
give a child because it can open up a whole new world, full of imagination,
history and information.
It is a privilege to be a part of the Francisco Elementary School family
where talented, dedicated, loving professionals work each day to promote a
quality education. The professionals here at Francisco are here for the
children's best interest, always eager to help them succeed in their

My mission for the Media Center is to help all students develop a love of
reading and to realize the importance of reading in their everyday lives. I
also want to teach my students technology skills that will enhance their
learning and help them become efficient users of information.
