"The North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early
Education is pleased to announce a list of approved curricula for
use in early childhood and education programs. The list is the
result of a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum review process
conducted by a panel of experts."Any curriculum on this list,
which includes the previously approved list of curricula from
2008, can be used immediately for a quality point for the star
rated license as well as in any NC Pre-Kindergarten classroom. In
addition, the NC General Statutes requires an approved curriculum
be used in all four and five star licensed facilities in
classrooms with four-year-old children, beginning July 1, 2011.
Other early childhood and education programs are encouraged to
consider this list when making curriculum choices.
