![]() ClimateClimate vs. Weather Investigative Presentations
Task: You and another scientist have been invited to the Copenhagen Climate Conference in Denmark starting December 7th, 2009. At this conference, you will meet and discuss concerns and possible solutions about our growing climate crisis across the world, with other scientists. You will also be giving your own presentation with findings and research about different climate zones and environments and why it is most important that we save them for our future. You will be assigned a climate zone that you and another scientist will be researching about and giving your presentation on. There are guidelines of what is acceptable material and presentation format when you present your findings in Copenhagen. Please make sure that you continuously look back to the guidlines to make sure you are doing what you are supposed to.
The second part of your task will come later....
Guidlines: You must give your presentation in the following formats:
Questions you MUST be able to answer: 1. Where is your climate zone located? 2. What types of landforms are present in your climate zone? 3. What makes your climate zone so special? 4. What is the difference between the weather and the climate in your climate zone/environment throughout the year? 5. Give some characteristics of your climate zone/environment. 6. Are there any types of weather patterns that are consistent with your climate zone? (Ex: Spends a lot of time under a low, so it rains a lot...) 7. What type of global wind pattern is found in your climate zone/environment? 8. What are some of the states and/or countries located in your climate zone? 9. **Are there any climate crisis problems that your climate zone/environment are experiencing right now?**
