The HMS PTA offers may ways for parents to become involved in the school through volunteering.  Below you will find description of many of the areas where we still need help for the 2011-2012 school year.  You can also print out a Volunteer Interest Form , complete it, and return to your child's teacher.  A PTA representative will contact you regarding your interest area.

Thank you in advance for your time and commitment to Heritage Middle School.  Without the time and dedication of our parents the PTA would not be able to provide as many opportunities for growth and enrichment each year.

Please remember that in order to volunteer at Heritage Middle School, you must complete a volunteer registration on the school’s computer. You must do this every year and you may register for more than one school at one time. The media center computers are open for this volunteer registration.

New Volunteer Needs

_____PROCTORING - during EOG testing, computer and writing tests. This is our biggest volunteer need (2-3 hours in the morning-various times during the year). You must be registered through the WCPSS data base.

_____Fundraising - assists with the fall fundraiser


_____Spring Celebration - assists with organization of 8th grade end of year celebrations


_____Beautification - beautifying our school, inside and out


_____Book Fair - fall book fair shifts


_____Hospitality - provides lunch for staff on early release days, treats for staff a few times a year, handles special staff recognition days and staff appreciation week


_____Backpack Buddies - help with food drives
