Moving on from the American Revolution and the Constitution, we will now
focus our attention back on North Carolina history, starting with the War of
1812. This week, students will learn why this war is also called "The Second

If you are looking for something to do with your kids over the weekend, the
NC Museum of History would be a great place! Currently, they have exhibits on
Native American community and culture, as well as artifacts from John
Lawson's voyage to the Carolinas. This would be an excellent way to support
their studies in class! The exhibit on Pirates will be sailing away in January
