Interims will be sent home on Thursday, November 12.
Algebra I Midterm- Friday, November 20.

February 1-21, 2010---------Magnet online application acceptance period
Our Celebration will be on track out day. We will have a team breakfast.
Look for information about sending in breakfast foods. We would love to have
some parent support as well, if you are able to help. Please contact Mrs.
Boriotti.
Science- This week, students are continuing their study of ocean systems
(Unit C Chapter 3). Students have a test over properties of water, the
structure of the hydrosphere, and Unit C Chapter 1 on Tuesday (11/3)! They
received a study guide last week to help them study for the test.
Social Studies-- This week, students are studying the constitution.

Language Arts-- This week, students will turn in their persuasive essays on
Tuesday 11/3/09. We will continue our conversation about non-fiction texts
for the remainder of the quarter.
Unit Test (Non-Fiction) Wednesday 11/4/09
Math- Algebra I is working on Systems of Linear Equation and their
solutions. We will finish 1st semester curriculum during the next two weeks,
review for a week, and then have our midterm on Friday, November 20.
Core math is working on the effects of changing dimension on perimeter, area,
and volume. Then we will complete a review of the Pythagorean Theorem and
have an in class project during the week of November 23.
