Mark your calendars!On Friday, May 25th,Holly Grove Elementary School will be celebrating Memorial Day with a special presentation by our students! This celebration is dedicated to our current and past members of the Armed Forces. You are invited to celebrate with us and we encourage all military personnel to wear their uniforms. We hope to see you on Friday, May 25th, 9:30-10:30.

I cannot believe it is already May!  We are having so much fun studying Eric Carle's "very" books as we also study informational texts about insects and spiders.  In science, our goldfish have also been a big hit- although I am having a lot of trouble keeping them alive. :) Each table has their own little aquarium, and the children love to watch them throughout the day. We will add snails and plants this week!

After a wonderful track out, we are hard at work.  It is hard to believe that it is already February!  We are looking forward to two very exciting days- Valentine's Day and our 100th Day of School!  There are many upcoming events and activities, please be sure to check the newsletter each week so you don't miss anything! :)

Wow!  I can tell how busy we have been in kindergarten- I have been forgetting to update the website! :)  It is hard to believe that December begins this week, and that it is almost time for our second track out.  December will be very busy, as we begin assessments in preparation for the first report card, along with many wonderful learning experiences such as a Holidays Around the World rotation, Polar Express Day, and making our own gingerbread cookies.  What a wonderful time of the year!

August 17, 2011Just a reminder that we will have our Open House tomorrow night with a PTA meeting beginning at 6pm, with the first session at 6:20.  Mrs. Grabowski and I will be meeting together in the media center.  We will be sharing very important curriculum information, and we look forward to seeing you there!
