 Music Matters: After School Orchestra ClassInformation about January Boot Camp!!!!
http://www.mmafterschool.com/bootcamp.aspx Music Matters After School orchestra program is designed to enhance your child's music education in an enjoyable, convenient and affordable way. Our music directors create lesson plans aligned with the MENC Standards for Music Education while also encouraging each child to express themselves creatively. During the school year, students in the 2nd - 5th grades will learn important skills such as: * Perform in an ensemble using balance, blend, and listening techniques * Discipline, organization, and time management skills * Read and perform music notation * Proper instrument care and posture Details:
- Classes meet once a week for a 90-minute session after school on Tuesdays from 4-5:30pm in room 1409 - Two cluster concerts per school year (winter and spring) - Saturday Performance Ensemble Class - offered to all students enrolled in the Music Matters - - - After School program at no additional charge. - Optional instrument rental shipped free to your home (excludes Bass) - Lake Myra's program will be taught by Derrick Foskey, a certified instrumental music teacher, and will involve other students from Eastern Wake County elementary schools
