Intensive Behavior Support Teacher & Co-teach in Biology

This is my 6th year at Laney and I look forward to touching many new, young 
minds.

Social Skills Development

This course is designed to assist students with special needs develop 
decision-making skills to help them succeed in school, socially and 
academically as well as life after school - whether they choose college or 
work. Some topics we touch on include: handling relationships, conflict 
resolution which includes anger techniques, making responsible decisions, 
effective communication skills, peer pressure responses, and valuing others. 
The course helps students through real-life experiences, game play and 
movies that will focus on changing the student's ability to function in all 
aspects of life. This new year I will also focus on improving reading and 
writing skills.
