Supply list for earth science:
NOTEBOOK---3 ring binder of any size. You must keep a notebook!!!
All assignments go into the notebook. If you are absent, I keep a list of
all assignments on the board. It is your responsibility to make sure that
all assignments are in your notebook and that your notebook is in order
according to the list on the board. You will not do well in this class
without keeping a notebook.
Pencils-- I cannot provide pencils.
Two pieces of poster paper--one black and one blue, if possible. I will give
you plenty of notice when you need these.
Colored pencils--I have some, but it would be better if you had your own.
Glue--Again, I have some. Glue sticks are helpful.
Cotton balls--I will let you know when you will need these.
___________________________________________________________________________
I do not give much homework, but you must study to do well. I suggest that
you spend 15 minutes each day reviewing what we did in class that day.
If you choose to come to class prepared, your grade will go up!!
If you choose to study for tests, your grade will go up!!
If you choose to participate in class, your grade will go up!!!

Week of 9/08:
If your notebook has not been graded, you need to turn it in NOW.
Our first quiz was Monday Sept. 8 on chapter 1 vocabulary.
On Monday, we also completed our chart about different types of maps. If you
do not have that, you may copy it from the board. I will leave it there until
this Friday.
And the last thing we did on Monday was to learn how to read and draw contour
lines.
Tuesday Sept. 9
We did the lab from the old book p 59-60 to learn how to take a two
dimensional topo map and turn it into a 3 dimensional object. Turn in the
questions in the blue box.
Wednesday We will build some mountains----our last activity on topo maps and
then we will review for our first test........tomorrow??

room--before or after school, lunch. You have a week to make up work, or it
becomes a zero. Let me know if there is a valid reason you cannot do the
make up work within the allowed week.
