I think I sprained my ankle (wrist, etc ...), can I get an Ace wrap?

New Hanover County school nurses are not allowed to ACE wrap any alleged
injury, we do not even have ACE bandages in our office. I cannot diagnosis
injuries, and it is very easy to cause more damage by wrapping something
that does not need it.

Can you put some Neosporin on my cut?

No, the ingredients in neosporin or any triple antibiotic ointment are
condsidered medictins and therefore are not allowed to be applied on a
student's wound. The wound will be cleaned with soap and water and a
bandage will be applied.

These crutches are hard to walk on. Can I borrow the wheelchair?

No, there is only one wheelchair at Laney High School. If that one
wheelchair is given to a student to use, then there is not a wheelchair
available to assist a student in the event of an emergency.
