I am a graduate of Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania with a
Bachelors Degree in Nursing. After moving to the North Carolina area, I
further pursued my education at East Carolina University and obtained a
Masters of Nursing in 1998. I am also certified by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center for Medical Surgical Nursing and as a Nationally
Certified School Nurse. My past employment includes Medical University of
South Carolina, Cape Fear Memorial Hospital, and Cypress Pointe
Rehabilitation and Nursing Centre. Currently I am employed with New Hanover
County Health Department and teach part time in the continuing education
nursing assistant program at Cape Fear Community College.
While I am not a Laney graduate, my oldest son in a 2005 Laney graduate and
my youngest son is a current student. My husband is a 1980 Laney graduate -
so Buc spirit runs in the family. This is my 8th year being part of the Laney
Family.
