About The Teacher

I grew up in Seneca SC (close to Clemson).  However, I am an avid Gamecock 
fan!  I attended Winthrop College where I received my BA in 
Communications/Broadcasting.  I worked for the NBC affiliate in Greenville, 
SC.  I moved to Wilmington in April of 1997.  I was fortunate enough to go 
back to school in 2000. I received my BA in Spanish from UNCW in 2004.  
Prior to coming to Laney in October 2006, I taught K-8 grades at St Mark 
Catholic School.  I plan to work on my National Board Certification within 
the next 2 years.  After, I plan to receive my Master's degree in 
Spanish.
