I graduated from UNCW in 1996 with a BS in Marine Biology and again in 1999
with certification to teach High School Science. I have been teaching at
Laney since 1999. In 2006, I achieved my National Board Certification and am
currently teaching Honors Oceanography and Marine Biology, AP Environmental
Science, and Biology. I have been married to the wonderful Mr. Cotton since
the summer of 2002 and we have one beautiful son, Jack, who is 4.
For all students to succeed and become more aware of the ocean and their
environment while becoming better human beings!
