*Supplies: 2 Folders with pockets and fastners, loose-leaf notebook paper,
graph paper, pencil and blue-black pens, highlighter, colored pencils
Procedures:
1. IDs are to be WORN in class everyday. If you are not wearing your ID I
will order you one.
2. The dress code will be enforced. If you do not comply with the dress code,
I will send you to the Dean. If there is a question about your attire, I
will send you to the Dean for verification.
3. There are to be no cell phones, Ipods or other electronic devises out or
used in class. I will take cell phones or electronics if you are using them,
even if the call is from your Mama.
4. All students are to be in class, ready to work when the tardy bell rings.
You will get a warning; 2nd tardy results in a lunch detention. These
detentions are to be served that day or the next. If you do not serve your
detention, you will be referred to the Dean.
5. Attendance is very important. You are responsible for all materials
covered even if you are absent. Continued absences = call home. In Honors
Biology there will be power point notes from other sources under the Course
Notes Page. These powerpoints can help you understand the material or can be
used to catch up any missed notes. You must copy the notes yourself. A
printed out copy of the notes does not substitute for your notes.
6. You will be given a sheet of Passes. This sheet is to remain intact. It
is a record of when you leave the class and where you go. It is also your
Hall Pass. You must get my permission, fill out the next space on the sheet
(in a color that can be read) and I need sign it. This sheet is your hall
pass. The sheets will be kept in a notebook at the front of the room. If you
lose your Passes, you lose. You will also need to sign out and back in on the
sign-in sheet.
*Nightly assignment-- Read the book sections that are dealing with the
material we are studying, read through your class notes and summarize daily
notes on the bottom of the paper, read over the worksheet assignments, and
finish class assignments
* All Section Packets (homework and class work assignments) are to be turned
in inside a folder (with your name on the front) with a table of contents on
the day of the test!! The Table of Contents can be found under the
Assignment Page for your Course.
*Late work-10% off for each day late.If you turn in a late packet after the
packets have been graded and returned, you can get no higher than a 50. If
you have excused absences, work is due when you get back.
(You are only excused the number of days you were absent..... I notice
patterns!!!)
*There can be a QUIZ At Any Time on the materials already assigned!! Most
quizzes are open notes.
