Citing Sources

How to Cite Sources

When you are doing your research, it is your job to keep track of all your
resources that you use.

ALWAYS record the author, title, publisher, place of publication and year when
you take notes from a book.

If you are using an encyclopedia, you will need to write down the author of
the article, title of the article, edition, volume, year, and page(s) of your
article as well as the name of the encyclopedia.

If you use a website, you must record the full internet address, author (if
you can find one) and the date that you visited the site. Also include the
title of the website.

After you have finished all of your research, go to Citation Maker or Citation
Machine to create your bibliography. See Ms. OH if you need help!
