Ms. Rebecca Malone
North Forest Pines Elementary School
Hi! I was born and raised in Johnson City, Tennesee. I moved to NC with my
family when I was in high school. I went to East Tennessee State University
for 2 1/2 years. Then I transfered to Meredith College. I graduated in 1994
with a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Certification K-6 and
received my Masters in Education in August 2012 from Meredith as well. I
originally received my National Board for Teaching certification in 2004. I
renewed my certification this past 2012.
This is my 17th year of teaching. I was the first teacher hired at North
Forest Pines in 2007. I have worked here since we have been opened. My
first kindergarten class at NFP graduated on May 31, 2013. This is the
4th elementary school I have worked at. I believe this is the best school in
Wake County. Every teacher, administrator, and personnel that work in our
school always put children first! This is a beautiful place to work and to
I have 2 beautiful children, Mikaela, age 14, and Quinn, age 7. Mikaela is
in 9th grade at Heritage High School and Quinn is in 2nd grade
at NFP in Mrs. Smith's class. My children keep me pretty busy. We enjoy
swimming at our Community Pool. I love going to church. Presently, my
children and I have been attending Richland Creek. I enjoy playing with my
kids, watching movies and enjoy reading for pleasure! I love going to the
beach, no matter what the weather!
I hope you enjoy our class web site!
My mission for my class is that each student will learn to love school. As a
kindergarten teacher, it is my joy and pleasure to introduce school to my
students. I want ALL my students to acquire a love for learning and become
life long learners.
