It seems like this school year is flying by so quickly. February was full of wonderful happenings. The PTA raised $382.25 with their February fundraisers. The money will go towards purchasing outdoor play equipment. Our school won first place in the Human Relations Day for our division!!! Thank you Ms. Manis for taking the lead with that project. We received our temporary childcare license and will be working toward receiving our star ratings. Congratulations are in order- Ms. Michelle Manis was voted our Teacher of the Year and Ms. Nicole Havelka was voted our Paraeducator of the Year.

I want to thank all the parents who completed the Parent Perception Survey. The feedback we received will be helpful as we plan improvements for the remainder of the year as well as next school year.

I am sending out a HUGE thank you to all the parents who sent in materials/supplies from our wish list, gave monetary donations, and who gave of their time these past months. Your generosity was felt throughout the school. We are truly blessed to have such caring families as part of our school community.

Our Spring Break is scheduled for April 6-10. I hope everyone has a safe and fun Spring break. Enjoy this time with your family.

Our ‘Egg-travaganza” Day is fast approaching; it is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15. This will be an exciting day for our school! We will celebrate the egg. Our students will have an opportunity to visit a variety of “egg” stations. These stations may include egg spoon relays, tossing the eggs, exploration of what types of animals grow inside of eggs, color mixing and an egg hunt. Students will also compete in an egg derby between classes. We hope to see you!!!

Our Relay for Life Team is still raising money & signing up new members for our team each day. We invite everyone to join the team and walk with us at the relay on April 24 & 25. Please contact Mrs. Johnson or Mrs. Monaghan if you are interested in joining the team or have questions. You can contact them at 815-6940.

Our Annual PTA Spring Fling is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2009 from

11 a.m.-3 p.m.  Please support our Spring Fling and help make it successful by donating outdoor games (bowling, ring toss, bean bag toss, etc.), baked goods and/or your time.

Our cafeteria still has outstanding meal charges; as of February 27 our charges totaled $492.41. Please help by paying your charges in a timely manner. If you are unable to pay your entire amount, please pay a portion toward your balance until it is paid in full. If your lunch status has changed, and you need a free/reduced lunch application, please let the office know. If you have any questions regarding your account you can contact Ms. Barbra Davis at 815-6940 ext. 104.
