Hello Everyone,
I have lived in NC all my life. I grew up in a small town, Clemmons,NC
located in Forsyth County. This wonderful town is just west of Winston-Salem.
I have three beautiful children(now young adults) of my own. Two daughters
and one son. Did I mention, my first grandchild (girl)was born May 10, 2009.
Now I have a second grandchild (boy) born on March 10, 2010! My family is
beginning to grow!! Now I have another grandchild on the way, the due date is
set for Jan. 28th, 2012...my oldest daughter is getting ready to have her
first child.
Later in life after High School, I finally had an opportunity to go back to
school. I chose Elementary Education as my major. I graduated from Piedmont
Bible College in Winston-Salem, and received my licensure from Greensboro
College.
My first year of teaching was in a great school, Southwood Elementary, in
Davidson County,NC.
I guess you're wondering how I ended up in the marvelous town of Newport?
Well, as LOVE will have it, I married a man from Newport, Paul Garner. I
moved here in May of 2001.
I taught at White Oak Elementary for 7 years! This is now my 4TH year at
Newport Elemntary School! This is a wonderful community to work in! I look
forward to a super great year!
