Dear Parents & Students,
It is time for me to begin saying "Good-Bye." I want you all to know that
it's been a very good year for me and it's all because of you. You have been
there to support my teaching paradigms, have abided by my class rules and
have helped me provide my students with opportunities for enrichment and
remediation. This would not have been possible without the dedication of all
our classroom volunteers! I Thank You ALL!
This week will go by rather quickly. Please remember that "Meet the Teacher"
has been scheduled for Thursday, May 31st, from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Make
sure you stop by and meet Mrs. Wendy Peabody. She will be the teacher for
track 1 - grade 4 students. Wendy is a wonderful co-worker and an awesome
teacher. I'm sure that my students will do just fine in her class.
Please make sure that your child comes to school with an empty backpack each
day this week. Students will begin taking home their personal belongings, in
addition to, used notebooks, workbooks, etc.
On Thursday, May 31st from 2:00 p.m.-2:50 p.m., we will have our final
celebration. Students will be sharing their Mastodon Projects, Powerpoint
presentations and Tall Tales. We hope that you can join us!
Friday, June 1st is graduation day for track 1 -5th grade students. Siblings
are allowed to attend. If you have a student in my class who has a
graduating sibling, please let me know if your child will be attending. Also
let me know if your child will not be in attendance the entire week. Report
cards go home on Friday and I'd like to arrange to get the report card to you
before your child leaves my class.
EOG testing for tracks 2, 3, and 4 begins on Thursday, May 31st. Parents are
NOT allowed upstairs when testing is taking place. With that said, there
will no longer be a need for Math Stars & KITS volunteers. These programs
have come to an end. Those students who participated in Math Stars will take
their binders home and can continue to work on them over track out. Math
Keys volunteers will be allowed to continue until Wednesday, May 30th. This
will be the last day for students to earn their t-shirts.
Homework will not be assigned this week due to track out preparations.
Once again, thank you for a wonderful school year! I wish you all luck in
4th grade and know that my students are more than prepared to tackle the
rigor and work that comes with their promotions. I will miss my students as
well as their parents. It has been my honor and pleasure to have taught your
child. Thank you for giving me that opportunity!
Have a wonderful track out break and I'll see you around...just look for the
red flag with the "3" on it:)
All the best,
Daisy
