Mrs. Miranda is a native New Yorker. Born in New York and raised in the BIG
Apple and the island of Puerto Rico. She has been teaching for ten years
and considers teaching her second career. Prior to teaching she worked for
Fortune 500 companies such as, American Express, McGraw Hill Publishing,
Inc., and UBS PaineWebber, where she held various positions as a corporate
employee.
Mrs. Miranda is a graduate of CUNY (City Universities of New York) and holds
an Associates in Applied Science in Business Law, Bachelors of Art in
Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education
Environmental Science. She also completed an educational workshop
certification program at Columbia University and is CPR certified.
In addition to teaching, which occupies most of her time, she enjoys
spending time with her husband of 26 years, Luis. She also enjoys spending
time with her daughter Kelli and her son-in-law Donte. Mrs. Miranda is a BIG
science fiction movie buff & she loves making cards and scrap-booking
in her craft room whenever she's tracked out! The Miranda family has been
living in North Carolina since 2004 and have enjoyed the quality of life that
the state offers.
