EOG Practice

 Dear Parents,

This page offers information on the End of Grade tests, as well as, EOG
sample tests that have been used in the past and have been released by WCPSS.
Please make sure that your child uses these practice tests to prepare for the
EOG. Students can also practice strengthening any weaknesses using Study
Island. Below are the instructions and links needed to get you started.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you need
clarification when using the attached links. I recommend that each parent
peruse through the website in order to get detailed information about the
EOGs and what your child will be tested on. Thanks!

EOG Preparation & Practice

1. Go to www.wcpss.net
2. Click on Departments (2nd gray box on the left).
3. Click on Curriculum & Instruction.
4. Once on the Instructional Services page, scroll down to Additional Links
and click on End of Grade Test Preparation Materials from NC DPI.
5. Click on North Carolina End of Grade Mathematics Tests (Grades 3-8) or
Reading Comprehension End of Grade Tests (Grades 3-8).
6. Scroll down and click on Sample Test Items (updated April 2008)

*Once you click on Sample Test Items, you must choose the test from the
choices given. The Sample Tests are separated by goal. I recommend that you
begin the practice with 3rd grade items. If your child wants to challenge
him/herself by practicing fourth grades items, that's fine. You should print
a copy of the test and have your child complete it as additional practice to
what we are already doing in class. NOTE: The last few pages contain the
answers to the questions. Make sure not to give your child the answers to
the tests!
