Hello! Welcome to Second Grade! I will be your child’s 2nd grade teacher.
This will be my twelveth year teaching. I received my bachelor’s
in elementary ed. from Suny Plattsburgh in NY and my master’s in reading from
the University of Western CT. I am originally from Mahopac, NY and moved to
Raleigh in 2004. In NY, I was a reading teacher for four years, grades K-
3. I also taught first grade for three years at Wildwood Forest Elementary
in Raleigh and four years in Kindergarten at North Forest
Pines Elementary. This will be my first year teaching second grade and I am
looking forward to it!
In my spare time I like to do anything involved with sports. I grew up
playing sports year round and continued to play soccer in college. I enjoy
watching movies, going to the beach, hanging out with friends and my family,
especially with my husband and daughter.
To provide a positive learning atmosphere, while meeting the needs of each
student and providing enrichment to students so they can reach their full
potential. It's very important to me that my students believe in
themselves, take pride in their work, and to always do their personal best!
And most importantly, for my students to possess a love for learning!
