Homework is one way we practice the skills we have learned in class. It is
also a way for parents to see how their children are applying what they have
been taught.
Every night we ask that your child engage in reading for 15 minutes.
Don't forget to ask questions about their reading. They should be encouraged
to read aloud as well as read to themselves.
Spelling words are included on your child's daily report. These words are
pre-tested words that are related to their development of phonetic patterns.
Please help your child learn these important spelling patterns. Although
spellings is not formally tested, it is a part of their expected benchmarks.
