My name is Jeanie Leitner. This is the third year I have called North Forest
Pines home. I’ve taught second grade for 14 years. I received my BS and MS
degrees from schools in New York State. My teaching experience includes most
of the elementary grades, middle school Social Studies and Language Arts and
Special Education.
My husband Fritz and I live less than a mile from North Forest Pines!
My son-in-law Bob lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My
son Carl and his wife Ofri live in Chapel Hill. Their daughter Geffen Sky
and son Segev Pax are the center of all of our lives. Reading, gardening,
playing the piano, babysitting and going to Hurricanes games are the things I
like to do when I am not at school.
I am thrilled to be a member of the North Forest Pines staff! My classroom is
a place where children are challenged, encouraged and loved.
